Marquitia Harris is a lifelong Montgomery resident. She founded Five Star Bail Bonds in 2013. Marquitia has a background in Criminal Justice. She earned her degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University. Marquitia also worked as a public servant for over 12 years by working with at-risk juveniles. After seeing the need for a more compassionate approach to the bail bond industry, Marquitia started Five Star Bail Bonds as a part-time bail agent. By 2016, she committed all her efforts full-time.

Marquitia started Five Star Bail Bonds to pursue her passion by helping those in need to overcome trying justice-involved situations. She believes that it is important that each individual she provides bail bond services experience a process that is expedient and efficient. The goal is to get those individuals feet back on the street as soon as possible to begin their path to freedom. Justice-involved individuals must own their justice. The first step on that path is to get home to their family and friends to prepare for the next steps required. 

In 2019, Marquitia implemented the Path to Freedom | Own Your Justice app that allow clients to alert Five Star Bail Bonds, family and friends immediately that he or she needs a bail bond.
